Reminder - Submit your Response to the Equality Impact Assessment

Reinforcing the note all Cygnet House parents should have received from the school today, it is vital that each family takes the opportunity to submit a response to the Department of Education. Please respond regardless of what other correspondence you may have sent to ministers, MP's or MLA's.
Importantly, focus on 'Equality' and the impact upon your child - try and focus upon your specific circumstance.

Per the information provided by our childrens' school, the response should be sent for the attention of Mr P Duffy at the Depatment of Education (Department of Education, Rathgael House, 42 Balloo Road, Bangor, BT19 7PR) and should be received by DENI no later than Thursday 4th March 2010

The Final Draft Equality Impact Assessment relating to the Funding removal for Prep schools ( link here ) states the following:
The Department would particularly welcome comments on any perceived
adverse impact that this policy change may have on a particular group.
Comments should be made preferably by using the questionnaire at Annex 1.

Please note that your response may be made publicly available.  If you do not
wish to have your response made public, or if you would prefer it to be used
anonymously, please indicate this when responding.  See Annex 2, which
details the position in relation to the Freedom of Information Act.
